This Privacy Policy describes how Tidify (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Tidify mobile and desktop apps or visit our website at https://tidify.io.

1. Who We Are

Tidify is developed and operated by:

Marco Davalos

Avenida Sergio Bernales 215, Lima, Peru

Email: support@tidify.io

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency about how we handle your data.

2. About Tidify

Tidify is a daily planner app based on time boxing and other productivity methods that helps users organize their life by managing their time more intentionally.

The app is available on iOS and macOS.

Website: https://tidify.io

3. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate and improve Tidify.

3.1. Account Information

You can sign in to Tidify using Apple ID or Google Account.

We do not store your email, password, or other personal information — authentication is handled securely by these providers.

3.2. App Data

Your tasks, lists, and routines are stored both locally on your device and in Google Firestore (Firebase) to synchronize across your devices.

We do not store sensitive personal data, notes, or habits at this time.

3.3. Analytics and Errors

We use Posthog (cloud-hosted in the US) to collect anonymous analytics and error reports to understand how the app is used and to improve performance.

This data may include non-personal information such as device type, version, and general usage patterns.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firestore, which automatically encrypts all information both in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.

Firestore is hosted in the European Union.

We also apply access controls and authentication to protect your information from unauthorized access.

5. Data Synchronization

Tidify synchronizes your data (tasks, lists, and routines) between your devices through Firestore.

This allows you to access your content on iPhone, iPad, and macOS devices using the same account.

6. Calendar Integration

Tidify may request permission to access your device calendar to enable time-blocking functionality and help you visualize your scheduled events alongside your tasks. Your calendar data is only read locally on your device and is not synced to our servers or stored in Firestore. Calendar access is optional, but it’s essential for the app’s core time-blocking features. You can revoke calendar permissions at any time through your device settings.

7. Notifications

Most task and routine notifications are sent by your device’s calendar app, not Tidify. Tidify only sends local notifications for specific purposes, such as reminding you to check the app or to block time for your next day. These notifications are generated and stored entirely on your device and are not sent through external servers. Notification permissions are optional and can be managed through your device settings at any time.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

Tidify offers monthly and yearly subscriptions.

All payments are processed securely by Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

We do not collect or store any billing, payment, or credit card details — all payment data is handled externally by the stores.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

When you delete your Tidify account from within the app, all your associated data is scheduled for deletion within 30 days.

This delay allows you to recover your account if it was deleted accidentally.

You may also request deletion by emailing us at support@tidify.io.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the data we store about you
  • Request corrections or updates
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent to data processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@tidify.io.

11. Third-Party Services

Tidify relies on the following third-party providers:

  • Firebase (Google Cloud Firestore & Authentication) – for login and data synchronization
  • Posthog – for analytics, error tracking, and crash reports

Data processed by Posthog may be stored in the United States.

Data processed by Firebase is stored in the European Union.

12. International Data Transfers

If you use Tidify from outside the EU, please note that some analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States by Posthog.

We take appropriate measures to protect your information in accordance with GDPR.

If you are in the European Union, our legal bases for processing your data include:

  • Performance of a contract: To provide and operate the Tidify service
  • Legitimate interest: To improve and secure the app (analytics and error reporting)
  • Consent: When you choose to sign in using your Google or Apple account

14. CCPA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Know what categories of data are collected and for what purpose

Tidify does not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

15. Children’s Privacy

Tidify is available to general users and does not target children specifically.

We do not knowingly collect data from users under 16 years old.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If significant changes are made, we may notify you through the app or by email.
